Aer Lingus takes off with first Starlink connected flight

The airline equipped its first aircraft with Starlink, which landed in New York JFK from Dublin at the weekend.

The connectivity enables customers in every cabin to access free and fast internet for streaming, working and staying connected.

Aer Lingus’ first plane equipped with Starlink is an airbus A330.

After being fitted with Starlink antennas, the plane underwent extensive testing to prepare for its first customer flight.

It paves the way for a wider fleet rollout later this year.

Aer Lingus will equip all aircraft with Starlink in a phased rollout, beginning with aircraft flying to North America, followed by those serving European destinations.

Starlink Wi-Fi is expected to be available across all the airline’s long-haul fleet by Q1 2027.
