Sean Doyle, Chairman and CEO of the airline said India is a growing international market and its most important outside the US.
BA currently operates 56 flights a week from five Indian cities, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
The airline is reintroducing First Class service on the Mumbai to London Heathrow (LHR) route from October after a gap of nearly five years.
Doyle says the UK free trade deal with India will open up more options for business travel and cargo, which could lead to new routes and additional capacity.
“We want to be part of the growth of aviation in India. We have about 2,500 people work for British Airways in India.”
