BA suspends all UAE flights

Abudhabi2 British Airways has confirmed a suspension of all UAE flights to Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

It officially suspended all operations in the UAE, while downsizing flight schedules across the Gulf region.

The airline said all Abu Dhabi flights are grounded until ‘later this year’ with no confirmed restart date.

Dubai flights are cancelled until the end of March, BA said.

Again, it hasn’t given an expected date of resumption.

Also suspended until the end of March are services to Amman, Bahrain, Doha and Tel Aviv.

British Airways says there are a few seats left on its repatriation flights departing from Muscat, Oman to London Heathrow today and on Thursday.

These are available for customers with existing bookings.

“Due to the continuing uncertainty of the situation in the Middle East and airspace instability, we’ve had to temporarily reduce our flying schedule in the region,” the airline said.

“We’re keeping the situation under constant review and are in touch with our customers to offer them a range of options.”
