China Airlines enhances inflight menu with Lunar New Year goodies

CAL CNY2 Taiwan based China Airlines is serving up themed 2026 Lunar New Year menu items aboard flights starting today to celebrate the holidays.

There will be festive in-flight desserts until February 18 on flights departing from Taiwan.

The theme, Ang Ku Kueh – Endless Blessings, is the inspiration for this year’s Red Tortoise Cake symbolising longevity.

It features a candied orange peel and white bean paste cake and the BAC Caramel Nut Pastry, with limited edition New Year packaging, as well as the WooTEA co-branded Gold Ingot Pineapple Cake and Honey Bear Cake.

Additionally, CAL has introduced the Pink Chia Honey Lemonade cold-pressed fruit juice as a new welcome drink for Business Class.

Starting this year, the Gold Medal Taiwan Beer will be served on all routes and in all cabin classes.

China Airlines also secured a partnership with Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken, which will be served on Premium Business class long-haul routes.

Also, the American boutique coffee brand, Peet’s Coffee is now available on flights.
