EasyJet brings forward Newcastle base opening

It is opening earlier than initially planned to capture the Easter holiday period in 2026.
The airline will offer flights on 11 new routes from Newcastle.
The new base at Newcastle Airport will now be open from March 22, 2026.
The routes it has announced are Antalya, Dalaman, Rhodes, Corfu, Faro, Malta, Nice, Prague and Reus.
It also just added new flights to Sharm-El-Sheikh and Enfidha.
It will mean easyJet has a network of 19 routes at the airport from next year.
These new flights are now available to book at easyJet.com and the mobile app.
Kevin Doyle, UK country manager at easyJet, said: “We are delighted to be opening our Newcastle base early, demonstrating our continued confidence in the region.”
