The Gulf carrier marked the occasion with an event for VIPs, government officials and aviation stakeholders.
It represents the return of daily Lagos flights on Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, which offers eight First Class suites, 42 Business class seats and 304 in economy class.
Emirates is one of only two airlines offering First Class in and out of Lagos.
Adnan Kazim, Chief Commercial Officer, Emirates said: “This has been a long-awaited moment, and we are excited to, help reconnect travellers seamlessly to and through Dubai.”
” We are committed to making this route a success and look forward to contributing to the Nigerian aviation industry’s growth.”
To support travel to Dubai and beyond on Lagos flights, Emirates will facilitate 48 hour and 96 hour Dubai visa applications for travellers from Nigeria, which is exclusive to the airline.
