Eurowings returns to Glasgow Airport

250120 Eurowings Boeing 737 8 MAX Germany based Eurowings is heading back to Glasgow Airport after a six-year gap.

The airline will restart operations with new seasonal flights to Hanover this summer.

Flights kick off on 29 June 2026, and run three times a week through 23 August 2026.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Eurowings back. As the only route between Scotland and this historic German city, I’m confident the route will appeal to German holidaymakers keen to explore the rugged beauty of Scotland,” said Chris Tibbett, Aviation Director at AGS Airports.

According to VisitScotland, Germany is the single largest European market for inbound tourism to Scotland.

Additionally, Eurowings is bringing forward the launch of new flights from Berlin to Sarajevo.

It announced the route recently but will now launch the service earlier on May 9 instead of June 27, 2026.

It will initially operate weekly and then twice weekly in July and August.
