The outage lasted several hours until Sunday evening.
The IT failure affected air traffic control systems, which impacted all flights in and out.
It led to long delays, flights cancelled and many inbound flights diverted to Glasgow and Manchester.
The airport confirmed the glitch was resolved on Sunday evening but urged all passengers to check their flight status.
“The IT issue affecting Air Traffic Control has now been resolved and flights have resumed. We’d like to thank passengers for their patience and understanding,” the airport posted on X.
“We regret the inconvenience this caused and thank everyone for their cooperation while engineers worked to resolve the issue,” said ATC provider Air Navigation Solutions.
