Icelandair’s new Edinburgh service upgraded to year-round

Icelandaira321 Scaled Icelandair recently kicked off its second route to Scotland.

The new route to Edinburgh launched just days ago and was initially a seasonal winter route but has now been upgraded to year-round due to strong customer demand.

The airline also flies to Glasgow.

The new Edinburgh route is operated on Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft with up to to four flights a week.

“We’re delighted to welcome Edinburgh to our network. The new service opens up this remarkable Scottish city to even more travellers,” said Icelandair CEO Bogi Nils Bogason.

The launch marked the airline’s 80th anniversary of flights to Scotland.
