The two parties have inked a deal worth about $355 million.
Marriott is buying the citizenM brand and its related intellectual property. The brand has 36 hotels in over various cities worldwide including London, Paris and Rome.
US locations include Austin, Boston and Chicago.
There are three current projects under construction which are expected to launch by the middle of next year.
Marriott aims to expand the brand to new markets over time.
The acquisition will see a shift to long-term franchise agreements managed by Marriott International.
