Qantas has inked a commercial frequent flyer partnership with Hawaiian Airlines.
It enables Qantas frequent flyer members to book reward seats with Hawaiian Airlines starting from June 5.
It is part of a strategic airline partnership the two airlines announced earlier this year.
Qantas loyalty members can book flights across Hawaiian Airlines’ global network, including 15 US mainland cities and 10 international destinations.
Hawaiian Airlines serves Sydney and Auckland from Honolulu.
It has been flying to Australia for more than two years.
“Hawaii has long been a favourite destination for members, who can use points to connect to Hawaiian Islands or look to build Honolulu into their itinerary as a convenient stopover,” said Qantas Loyalty CEO Andrew Glance.
“The partnership with Hawaiian Airlines also builds on the recent launch of our direct Melbourne to Honolulu Qantas service.”
Qantas also signed a codeshare agreement with Hawaiian Airlines.
The codeshare arrangement enables Qantas members to earn Qantas Points on Hawaiian Airlines flights within Hawaii and to and from the mainland US.
