Virgin Atlantic taking flight with Starlink connectivity

Virgin Atlantic Dreamliner16 1068X717 (1) As part of a raft of upcoming cabin enhancements, Virgin Atlantic will adopt Starlink tech for in-flight connectivity.

In doing so it will become the first UK based carrier to adopt Starlink.

It will start rolling out on aircraft in the third quarter of next year.

It envisages installation across the entire fleet by 2027.

Virgin joins airlines such as Hawaiian Airlines, Qatar Airways, United Airlines and Air France to adopt Starlink connectivity.

Virgin Atlantic will start equipping Boeing 787s, Airbus A350s, and A330neos with Starlink next year.

Use will be free for Flying Club loyalty members.

“In a first for any UK airline, we’ll soon have free, streaming quality, unlimited, fleet-wide Wi-Fi. Together with Starlink, we are delighted to provide our guests with the best connectivity in the skies,” said Siobhan Fitzpatrick, chief experience officer at Virgin Atlantic.
