LOT ramps up Asia push with Bangkok, Hanoi

LOT Polish Airlines is accelerating its network expansion, adding new long-haul services to Southeast Asia while opening a series of European routes from its Warsaw and regional hubs.

The Polish carrier will launch its new Warsaw-Bangkok service on October 7, 2026, marking its return to scheduled flights between Poland and Thailand.

The route will initially operate three times weekly before increasing during the winter schedule. The latest schedule shows six weekly flights from late October, using Boeing 787 Dreamliners.

Bangkok becomes LOT’s latest Asian destination, strengthening its Warsaw hub as a gateway between Central and Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia.

Vietnam will follow. LOT will launch Warsaw-Hanoi on March 31, 2027, operating three times weekly year-round with Boeing 787-8 aircraft. Flights will depart Warsaw on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with return services on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Hanoi will become LOT’s fifth Asian long-haul destination, joining Bangkok, Tokyo, Seoul and New Delhi.

The expansion is not limited to long-haul markets.

From December 1, 2026, LOT will launch seasonal Warsaw-Tromsø flights, operating twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays with a Boeing 737 MAX 8. The service will run through February 13, 2027.

The airline is also adding Warsaw-Turin, a seasonal route running from January 16 to March 27, 2027, with one Saturday flight per week using the 737 MAX 8.

Last but not least, LOT will also launch a new Gdansk-Paris Orly connection on April 5, 2027. The year-round service will operate four times weekly, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, using Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.

The network push comes shortly after LOT received another major industry endorsement. At the 2026 Skytrax World Airline Awards, the carrier was named Best Airline in Central Europe, based on a passenger survey covering 24.8 million verified entries involving more than 300 airlines.
